THE DEFAULT RESIDENTIAL RATE in BGE's territory. Maryland is restructured, so a household may buy generation from a competitive supplier instead; this encodes the default, Standard Offer Service.
NOT TIME-OF-USE and not tiered. BGE files Schedules RD, EV and RL as separate residential time-of-use plans - they are real and are not encoded here.
SUPPLY IS 71% OF THE ENERGY RATE and is re-set for each SOS period. The period encoded here is 2026-06-01 through 2026-09-30. From 2026-10-01 BGE has published 15.223 c/kWh EXCLUDING Rider 8, which is not a final figure - Rider 8 for that period is not set yet - so it is deliberately not on the scheduled shelf.
RIDER 8 IS ALREADY INSIDE THE SUPPLY RATE. BGE's Price to Compare is published marked '(incl. Rider 8)' and reconciles exactly to generation + transmission + Rider 8. Adding Rider 8 again would double-count a credit.
RIDER 25 CHANGES EVERY MONTH and its tariff page contains no number at all - three pages of method, with the value published separately on bge.com. August 2026: -5e-05 $/kWh, a credit. Same shape as Entergy Louisiana's formula rate plan.
SCHEDULE R IS A MULTI-YEAR PLAN. Rate Years 1-3 are all printed in the filed schedule: $9.30/$0.04588, $9.65/$0.04751 and $10.00/$0.04859, effective each January. Rate Year 3 is in force.
Excludes Rider 3 taxes and surcharges - 6% Maryland sales tax, 2% Gross Receipts Tax on transmission, 0.3205% PSC Assessment - and county energy taxes, consistent with the rest of the catalogue. Excludes the $0.62/month Competitive Billing credit, which applies only where a competitive supplier bills.
