Transcription notes recorded when this tariff was encoded, including anything deliberately left out.
THE SERVICE CHARGE TIERS ARE NOT USAGE TIERS. Tier 1 $20, Tier 2 $30 and Tier 3 $40 are chosen by dwelling type and service amperage - Tier 1 is an apartment or condominium up to 225 amps, Tier 2 any other dwelling up to 225 amps, Tier 3 anything over 225 amps. Encoded at Tier 2, the ordinary single-family case. A flat or condominium pays $10 a month less and a large-service home $10 more, on identical energy prices.
The minimum bill is the Monthly Service Charge.
SRP HAS NO REGULATOR. It is an Arizona agricultural improvement and power district and its elected board sets prices, so there is no docket, advice letter or filed tariff - the published price plan is the authority. Every other utility in this catalogue has a commission behind it.
Seasons are BILLING CYCLES, not calendar months: summer is the May, June, September and October cycles; summer peak is July and August; winter is November through April.
The fuel adjustment and the transmission cost adjustment are line items INSIDE the printed total, not additions to it. SRP may change either at any time, which is what moves these prices between ratebooks.
A SUPERSEDED COPY OF E-23 STILL FETCHES from a shorter URL and is wrong by up to 12% per kWh. See provenance. The FY26 ratebook is the one encoded and watched.
NOT ENCODED: the Economy Discount Rider (limited income), the Medical Life Support Equipment Discount, the Energy Attribute Certificate Rider, the Renewable Net Metering Rider and the Carbon Reduction Rider. All are elective or eligibility-restricted; none is a mandatory adder.
THE DEFAULT RESIDENTIAL PLAN, marketed as the SRP Basic Price Plan. Seasonal but NOT time-of-use: one price for every kWh within a season.
$30.00/month; 0.1204 summer, 0.1398 summer peak, 0.1097 winter, per kWh.
Summer peak (July and August) is the most expensive season and winter the cheapest - the reverse of most northern utilities in this catalogue, and the reason a Phoenix load shape matters.
CLOSED TO NEW SOLAR. Service is limited to customers without on-site generation, with a grandfathering exception for systems interconnected by February 2016. A customer who installs solar moves to a different plan, so this rate does not describe them.
